Technical Execution: Left Hanging

My first design is called 'Left Hanging' which intends to portray the people on the other end of the line who have had to experience their conversation being cut of by an accident on the other end due to using the phone.

This is the initial sketch

What I felt at first was the image wasn't clear so I played around with the contrast

and made the black lines look clearer, Then with the pencil tool, i drew additional lines to make the sketch look more complete.

Then I used the paint bucket tool to rapidly colour large areas of the drawing.

And this is how it looked like after colour.

Next I inserted a graphic into the art piece and scaled it to fit the upper half of the art piece.

Then using the blending options, i adjusted the opacity.

Then once again I used the paint bucket tool to connect the colour of the graphic and the background.

After that I cut out the three biggest phone as a layer

Which after that I placed on top of the other layers to make it look like this.

Once I had layered them, I started to apply different blending options such as inner glow and bevel and embossto the three big phones to give them more substance.

And finally I layered the red portion of the art piece and used the filter gallery to give it a different texture.

I used the texture known as 'texturiser' and edited it as i saw fit.

And with that I completed the editing of this art piece and this is the final product.
